Transformer Saturation Gain Stage
Silicon Steel uses a combination of a familiar solid state overdrive, integrated with a transformer-based gain stage that is configured to operate with just the right touch of non-linearity and magnetic saturation.
Powerful 2-Band EQ
The onboard 2-band EQ is deceptively simple yet surprisingly flexible - the treble and bass controls interact such that a wider range of EQ variation than may be expected - with an easy to dial-in dual knob EQ setup
Wide Gain Range
Low strings bloom when chords are played and higher gain produce a satisfying overdrive with a harmonic profile that sets it apart from most overdrive stompboxes. And importantly, Silicon Steel allows the character of an instrument to come through.
